Artistic Freedom:
(or freedom of artistic expression) can be defined as "the freedom to imagine, create and distribute diverse cultural expressions free of governmental censorship, political interference or the pressures of non-state actors." Generally, artistic freedom describes the extent of independence artists obtain to create art freely.
Bee Kind (To Them): (single) March 2021 -
A Zappa influenced piece formerly titled “Her Majesty parts I II & III”.
The original idea was to have the different sections play between other songs of a larger collection of material or an LP worth of songs. The concept of the project is/was (depending on whether it gets finished) based on the slow decaying of our society and planet changing as well as the facing of numerous challenges among the people who dwell here. A political piece without naming names. Fill in the blanks to whatever fits.
The title stems from an interest in bees and how their survival determines ours.

Wonder: (single) March 2021 -
What I consider to be the first (of many) single to be officially released. It was written during the pandemic. It touches on depression. A subject I have had some issues with in the past and continue to work through. The character of the song is a young girl whose world is always gray and raining, inside and outside. Her world seemingly makes no sense with the world she sees around her. Her everyday is always the same. The feelings and thoughts many of us deal with on a daily basis. “Ooh it makes me wonder, will it ever change? Ooh I sit and ponder. Will it always be the same? Another Strange day for me.”

Under The Moonlight (Out in the Country): (single) December 2021 -
If a major influence could be cited to my early musical education it would be that of enjoying the music of Pink Floyd and The Doors. Both are evident in this piece. From the decaying reverb of the Gilmourish guitar lead and steel guitar mones to trippy Ray Manzarek shaped keyboards. With any performance whether recorded or live, a nod to the past is always given even if it goes unnoticed.
Lyrically inspired by yearning and eagerness to be with my love who was thousands of miles away from me. I wrote a series of poems during this period. My eyes are always facing eastward in hopes to see my love “over mountains and across the seas”.

It is What it is/ Sneaky Pouch: (Digital 45) March 2022 -
Side A: It is What it is: A Zappa/Setzer/Gibbons inspired song sharing my opinion on doing drugs and or getting “high”. My favorite quote on drugs is my fathers, “You don’t have much for brains, so don’t waste them on drugs”.
Side B: Sneaky Pouch: A loose jam in the key of G with the title coming from my wife’s nickname for my underwear. My wife also yells this out at the end of this little number!
Life is short, nothing is perfect, hit the record button, laugh and have some fun!
